Suspension Classes & Rolling Resistance Rubbish Removal Ride!

This Saturday we’ve got a super fun filled bicycle day! Meet up with Rolling Resistance ride leader Barb for a day of good community action and service with the Rolling Resistance Rubbish Removal Ride.
9:00 am at Vermont Bicycle Shop (please park along Merchant St. if you choose to drive.)
Bring rubber gloves and wear reflective or safety yellow colored clothing. We’ll be riding to a few different spots and picking up litter. Some folks bring reaching pinchers or even salad tongs to avoid handling the gross stuff.
Trash bags will be provided.

Learn all about your suspension!

For the mountain biking folks: At 3:00 pm we’ll be hosting a Trailside Fix Party focusing on suspension! Your suspension does more than bounce around and turn on and off! Improve confidence, improve traction, improve your knowledge in a fun and relaxed environment free of complicated jargon and over inflated egos! We’ll have a few things to share with you, and you might have some great things to share with us!

Bring your bicycle with suspension and if you have a shock pump, bring that along too. Don’t have a shock pump? No worries, we have some you can borrow.
We’ll spend about an hour learning the basics of how to adjust and use the suspension on your mountain bike.

We aim to shift away from the established social systems within the cycling world. There are no exclusions; participants are asked to create space for individuals—especially black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), women, queer folks, and those from marginalized or underrepresented backgrounds—to feel safe, supported, and confident, ensuring the best possible experience for all.
