A super flat ride with Mark Martin along the LVRT!
Hey all! Mark Martin is hosting a super chill ride on some of the newer sections of the LVRT this Sunday: “Hey there club! Next Sunday, I’m planning a Father’s Day, summer solstice, Mark birthday rail trail ride on the newly open section of the Lamoille Rail Trail that runs from West Danville to Greensboro Bend and back. I pre-rode the route yesterday and it is beautiful! The ride is 28 miles, with 800 ft. of elevation gain. (Yes, it’s a long slow climb on the way back). There is a small convenience store in Greensboro Bend that sells sandwiches and pastries. The trail is mostly under the forest canopy. Start time is 9 am at the West Danville Park and Ride. I’m recovering from surgery so this is a mellow, family friendly ride, and folks can of course turn back at any time. I hope you will join us if you can!”
Sunday 9am meet at the West Danville Park and Ride (https://goo.gl/maps/BbJnvVb31jYdq2STA) Ride towards Greensboro Bend where there is an option for snacks from the convenience store there. Ride back to Danville Park and Ride where some of us may opt to go out to eat at 3 Ponds in downtown Danville after the ride.
28 miles distance total and super flat (only 800 feet of elevation gain across the whole ride!) See you there!
