Join us Sunday for a Ride the Ridges training ride in the beautiful town of Cabot.
We will meet in the Cabot school parking lot at 8:30 for an 8:45ish departure. Drive past the Cabot green and look for "Gym Rd." on your right after a few buildings/houses. Turn into the school parking lot on Gym Rd.
We have two options for routes and will decide as a group which to tackle. Option A is about 6.5 miles with about 750 feet of elevation gain; this route includes some hills and views that you will find along the 30k route but does not include the initial climb of Ride the Ridges. Option B is about 11.5 miles with about 1,500 feet of elevation gain; this route will follow the first section of the Ride the Ridges 30k route including the initial 3 mile climb to the top of Cabot Plains. Both routes include mostly gravel with some paved roads as well.
This ride is open to everyone but anyone who is joining us should understand that this ride will include more elevation gain than most of our women’s group rides. We will ride as a group and we will be very patient and encouraging as we know this ride will be more challenging. Don’t be afraid to show up – we will regroup periodically and no one will be left behind!
*Vermont Bicycle Club women’s rides aim to support and create a safe environment for all women to build confidence and friendships. Vermont Bicycle Club is a LGBTQIA+ supporting community of cyclists and our women’s rides are for all women.
