Hey! As you know we are coming up on our July Pizza Ride. In an abundance of caution around America’s obsession with drunk driving on July 4 we thought it best to avoid bringing bicycles into the mix. Instead, our Pizza Ride will be July 11. We will follow up with a reminder post before the ride.
Vermont Bicycle Shop will also be close on July 4 as well and will return with normal hours on Tuesday, July 7.
Photo: Crispus Attucks is the first person to pay the ultimate sacrifice for our country. A man of African American and Native American descent who is recognized as the first person killed in the Boston massacre, and as a result the first American killed in the American Revolution. He was a member of the Bucks of America, an all black militia that fought for American freedom during the revolutionary war, sometimes at odds with the George Washington’s army who did not want to welcome black fighters.
