NOTE: The Thursday evening rides have now shifted to Sunday mornings. We’re hoping this allows even more folks to join us for fun and bicycle riding.
Sunday, February 9
Gather at Millstone Trails
Located at 44 Brook St. Websterville, Barre, VT
Between 9:00am and 9:15am with wheels ready to roll at 9:30 sharp.
Helmets are required.
Join Barb, Kevin, Bridget, and Kelsey this week on a social and friendly fat bike adventure at Millstone Trails. Route will be determined at the beginning of the ride based on trails conditions, temperature, and other dynamic factors. Millstone is stunning all year round, and at the same time it is an exceptional experience in the Winter.
We currently have limited availability for fat bikes to rent for this ride. Reach out to Vermont Bicycle Shop by Friday so we can arrange transportation of the bikes to Millstone. For further questions about fat bike rentals visit the rentals page.
Dress in warm layers and also be prepared for the need to shed and carry some of those layers during the ride. Some folks have a backpack, some folks have large bags, some folks even have rear racks and panniers to carry stuff.
If you have not yet done so for 2025, filling out our rider waiver form ahead of time is required as well. You can do it all online at www.VermontBicycleClub.com/waiver.
Our rides are designed to create a welcoming space for beginner cyclists, and are open to anyone who shares the goal of fostering a comfortable environment, including experienced cyclists.
We aim to shift away from the established social systems within the cycling world. There are no exclusions; participants are asked to create space for individuals—especially black, indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC), women, queer folks, and those from marginalized or underrepresented backgrounds—to feel safe, supported, and confident, ensuring the best possible experience for all.
