Wow there is a lot going on at Vermont Bicycle Shop over the next few weeks!!
Saturday May 2nd is our second Pizza Ride of the season, and this one is extra special as it will also be the second year in a row that Pride Rides has come to take over the Pizza Ride!
We’ll also be hosting the Pride Rides Season Kick Off party!
2:00pm – At Vermont Bicycle Shop, folks can meet the ride leaders, learn all about Pride Rides and even some other LGBTQIA++ owned and focused cycling adjacent services in the area. Hear from founder Kris Hunt about the amazing plans Pride Rides has this year.
4:00pm – Departing from Vermont Bicycle Shop we’ll head out for a 30ish minute casual ride around downtown Barre. We’ll return back to the Vermont Bicycle Shop for an in-shop pizza party!

What is Pride Rides?
Pride rides is a non-profit that started right in Barre, VT with the goal of creating equitable and safe access to all things bicycling for the LGBTQIA++ community. Pride Rides maintains a fleet of bicycles and cycling gear as well as organizes bicycle and bicycle adjacent outings in order to create a safe space for both experienced and beginner queer cyclists.

We’ve had the pleasure of seeing Pride Rides develop from a spark in Kris’ mind to the full fledged advocacy non-profit garnering attention and respect from all over that it is today.
