Welcome to the Millstone Trail Report with Mark Martin.
Mark is typically at Millstone at least once a week if not more often.
He’ll give us a quick thumbs up/thumbs down style report of riding conditions that will be posted here with the date.

| As expected, the trails are soft and getting softer today. At the same time, running lower pressures are not impacting the very firm base any significant amount. 6psi or lower is strongly advised. Ice patches are forming in spots. Studs are highly recommended. | |
| 1/13/2026 @ 3:00pm | |
| Riding continues to be exceptional on all trails. Main groomed routes are stellar. The snowshoe groomed sections are holding up well. Surfaces are compact and firm. | |
| 1/12/2026 @ 10:00am | |
| Everything is riding exceptional as long as the temp is low. Warmer temps will make for a sloppy mess that could be problematic. It’s best to avoid the trails until it cools. | |
| 1/11/26 @ 5:00pm | |
| Trails are groomed and a few side trails are snow shoe groomed. Colder temperatures should make for good conditions by the morning of 01/12. | |
| 1/8/26 @ 8:00am | |
| At 8 am there was a firm, consolidated base covered with about an inch of cottage cheese (big curd with chunks of pineapple. Or maybe that was just dog pee). Several tracks show folks were riding yesterday evening. The cottage cheese snow made it slippy in spots, not enough to have to walk anything, just enough to keep you alert in corners and some climbs. Both machine and ski/snowshoe groomed trails are riding OK, psi of 5-6 is a good idea. As it warms up during the day, the trails should probably be avoided. | |
| 1/7/26 @ 11:35am | |
| Too soft to ride, groomers are out on the trails, they are asking folks to give them time and to give the trails some time to set up before riding, most likely it won’t be ride-able until the temperatures drop. Skis and snowshoes might be a lot of fun. | |
| 1/5/26 @ 4:22pm | |
| The riding continues to be exceptionally good! Firm packed snow on both machine and snowshoe/ski groomed trails. | |
| 1/3/26 @ 2:27pm | |
| Smoother than the last few days, and freshly groomed. Near perfect conditions. | |
| 1/1/26 @ 1:00pm | |
| Conditions are perfect, best of the season so far. Some ice in the usual spots, ice under crusty snow, studs are always a good idea. | |
