Well they won’t, because like Dog Bites Man, the ride is cancelled way too soon 🙁
Here’s the thing, right as we plan to ride there are thunderstorms expected in the area, and we’re not remotely interested in creating more work for the trail crew at Millstone, or to put folks at risk. We’ve had a good run of weather the past few weeks. This week we’re not so sure we should push our luck. Instead, let’s take a breath, and enjoy reflecting on the wonderful season we’ve had so far. It has been wonderful meeting a whole new crew of people and seeing lots of familiar faces from last year join us again. Let’s also look toward next Thursday.

Speaking of next Thursday, we won’t be riding next week either.
Instead:

We’ve been invited!
We’re invited to a special sneak-preview screening of the film Claim the Lane.

5:30 at the Barre Social Club

Claim the Lane is a locally produced (some of it filmed right here at Vermont Bicycle Shop) documentary about Vermonter Roxy Bombardier, an Iraq veteran amateur cyclist who risks losing her closest relationships to be her true self and transition at age 51.

Get your fancy dress on! Vermont Bicycle Shop and Espresso Bueno will be giving out prizes for the best dressed. Roxy herself along with the audience will decide the winners! It’ll be a super fun community gathering.

Let’s show these folks how Barre shows up!!
